Intended as a public gesture, one of the conclusions of the research within ‘De Wereld’ was the placement of two images made on May 5th 1945, on a derelict site often called ‘the ugliest place in Wageningen’. Placing the images on the site would transform it into an alternative monument, finalized by the yearly parade of veterans passing by it. Unfortunately placement of the images was interrupted by plainclothes policemen, who confiscated one part of the diptych.
